Dear Colleagues,
Oral diseases are among the most common health issues around the world, representing an important burden on healthcare systems. When neglected, they are a serious concern due to potential associated complications. Oral diseases are a spectrum of conditions ranging from simple caries to periodontal disease including cancer. The common denominator of these conditions is the oral environment encompassing specific tissue, cellular, and molecular properties. A modern approach for the study of oral diseases needs to include the molecular interactions between pathogenic factors, diagnostic or therapeutic substances, and the host environment. This special issue will include reviews and research articles on the topic “Advances of Molecular Sciences in Oral Diseases Detection and Treatment” focusing on molecular signaling, diagnostic molecules, molecular interactions in treatment, and the molecular response of the host as related to inflammation, immunity, or carcinogenesis. Manuscripts reporting the use of state-of-the art technology involving molecular sciences in the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases are welcome. We invite submissions that provide novel insight into the understanding of molecular interactions in oral diseases and their complications. We believe that this Special Issue will represent a starting point for further studies and that it will advance the current knowledge of the molecular mechanisms involved in the management of oral diseases.

Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, reviews as well as short communications are preferred. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office to announce on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) in this open access journal is 2500 USD. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
