Image Duplication or Manipulation is a serious misconduct involving inappropriate duplication, manipulation, or fabrication of images. Even unintentional errors leading to image duplication compromise the integrity of academic records, as scientific integrity is an integral part of academic publishing. Therefore, in order to better uphold the integrity of the research community and promote genuine, reliable scientific research, IMR Press has decided to introduce imagetwin image integrity software to strengthen the review process conducted by our professional editorial team, effective from March 2024.

This initiative aims to ensure that our academic publishing activities adhere to the highest standards and promote genuine, reliable scientific research. We encourage all members to actively cooperate and ensure that the image data they submit is entirely genuine and trustworthy. With the help of imagetwin software, we will be able to more effectively detect any potential instances of image duplication or manipulation and take appropriate measures to address them.
