There is increasing use of pelvic Re-Irradiation in recurrent gynecologic cancer after a previous complete course of radiotherapy. Much of the published literature is heterogenous, and there is considerable variation in patient factors, primary disease sub-types and previous treatments, which presents a challenge in clinical decision making. There aren't evidence as to the optimum approach in terms of patient selection, pre-treatment investigations, treatment planning (including cumulative normal tissue constraints) and treatment delivery. There is, therefore, an urgent need for guidance in this area.
