Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Surgical interventions remain a crucial approach for addressing diverse gynecological conditions. However, there has been a notable decline in both mortality and morbidity associated with these diseases in recent years, alongside significant improvements in the quality of life, thanks to technological advances in surgery. This special issue was designed to gather the latest findings in the scientific field, aiming to enhance clinical practice and provide clarification on the remaining "grey areas" within the scientific literature. This special issue emerges in response to significant and groundbreaking scientific discoveries that have revolutionized the management of major gynecologic diseases, unveiling new scenarios to explore today. Moreover, the increasing spread of robotic surgery and the refinement of laparoscopic instruments present new technical horizons that were previously unimaginable. Additionally, the increasing understanding of the molecular signature of gynecological diseases, coupled with radiodiagnostic advancements, allow physicians the opportunity to diagnose and treat gynecological conditions at an early stage, enabling personalized treatment approaches. Furthermore, in recent years, there has been a heightened emphasis on post-surgical quality of life, aiming to achieve a balance between surgical outcomes and minimizing the impact of morbidity. In sum, the scientific community is undergoing a prosperous period with steady improvement in clinical care. Our Special Issue aims to collect the latest findings in these areas. Accordingly, we invite our authors to contribute their most important testimonials, whether through Original Articles, Review Articles, or Meta-Analyses.
