Dear Colleagues,
Continuous innovation in breast cancer treatment is of paramount importance.
Radiotherapy is a key and essential treatment weapon for all breast cancer settings.
Although patients identify the cure as their most important treatment outcome, late complications related to treatment are a recognized problem as follow-up increases among those cured within this oncologic setting. Accordingly, such late effects on quality of life and psychosocial functioning represents a forefront topic for researchers. Technological advances in modern radiotherapy have shown a tremendous potential to minimize acute and late adverse events. These advances and challenges will be addressed in our Special Issue, seeking answers to pending questions in this clinical scenario.
