Overview

International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research (IJVNR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal hosted by the Chinese Nutrition Society, co-hosted by the Federation of Asian Nutrition Societies, published by IMR Press. IJVNR publishes nutrition research and is dedicated to advancing nutritional science and all associated topics to improve global health.

IJVNR welcomes submissions that address scientific questions at the molecular, cellular, biochemical, physiological, clinical, and population levels. Studies may include vitamins, minerals, other essential nutrients, bioactive compounds, functional foods, nutritional supplements, dietary patterns, or broader aspects of nutrition. Interdisciplinary research and studies with translational relevance to clinical practice and public health are also encouraged.

IJVNR publishes Original Communications, Review Articles, News and Views, Abstracts and Proceedings, Editorials, and Letters to the Editor.

1997 International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research has been indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), and received its first Impact Factor 0.594.

1999 International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research has been recorded with electronic version.

2025 IMR Press started to publish International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research (IJVNR) (from Volume 95 Issue 1) with Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

2025 International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research has been indexed by Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Benefits of Open Access Publishing

The advent of online publication has greatly improved access to scientific content on a global scale. Therefore, starting from August 1, 2024, all publications of IJVNR will be freely available online immediately after publication, without the need for a paid subscription. This aims to allow more scholars to benefit from research results, promote innovation, and bring new discoveries.

Under the open-access model of IJVNR, the journal primarily covers publication costs through the use of Article Processing Charge. These costs include managing the editorial process, producing published versions, developing online features, and maintaining the quality of journal publications.

Most papers published in Volumes 69–94 (from 1999 to 2024) are copyrighted by IMR Press, and the authors retain the copyrights of individual open-access articles. Articles published beginning from Volume 95 Issue 1 (2025) are under the terms and conditions of the CC BY license. The copyright is retained by the author(s).
