Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Inflammasomes are cytosolic protein complexes that act as molecular platforms initiating inflammatory responses to diverse pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and danger-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). They are categorized into canonical and noncanonical types and play pivotal roles in inflammatory responses and inflammation-associated diseases. Nonetheless, the regulatory roles of canonical and noncanonical inflammasomes, as well as how their dysregulation influences inflammation and disease, are largely unknown and require further investigation.

This Special Issue welcomes original research and comprehensive reviews to elucidate the regulatory functions and underlying molecular mechanisms of canonical and noncanonical inflammasomes in inflammatory responses and inflammation-associated diseases, aiming to advance the development of novel anti-inflammatory therapies targeting inflammasomes.

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Roles of canonical and noncanonical inflammasomes in inflammatory responses and diseases and the underlying molecular mechanisms
  2. Identification and validation of novel molecules interacting with inflammasomes
  3. Evaluation of anti-inflammatory effects through inflammasome targeting
  4. Development of potential inflammasome-targeted therapeutics

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
