Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancer types in women. It is a heterogeneous disease with a number of molecular phenotypes. Advances in the field of molecular research have offered new insights into the cellular mechanisms and genetic changes that characterize breast cancer subtypes. This has allowed the identification of key driver genes and aberrations that initiate tumor development. Furthermore, the characterization of novel cellular targets has contributed to the development of improved therapeutic and diagnostic strategies.

This Special Issue on "New Insights into Breast Cancer" will gather reviews and original research articles that highlight recent advances in our understanding of the molecular basis of breast cancer, as well as novel therapeutic approaches. We invite researchers working on the personalized management of breast cancer using genomics and other biomarkers to contribute to this Special Issue. Finally, research relating to therapy resistance and novel approaches targeting tumor escape mechanisms will also be included in the scope of this Special Issue.
