Special Issue Information

Dear colleagues,

Placental anomalies can result in various adverse maternal and fetal outcomes, as the placenta is a vital organ which has an essential role in psysiologic functions including nutrition, oxygenation and excretion. Antenatal assessment of the placenta and umbilical cord along with appropriate management of pregnant women based on ultrasound findings, cardiotocogram and other new modalities has the potential to improve perinatal outcomes. In the special issue on "Placenta Anomalies and Pregnancy Outcomes", we are recruiting articles about placenta and umbilical cord anomalies in association with clinical and/or pathophysiological outcomes.
