Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most widespread gynecologic malignancy in industrialized nations. Unlike other gynecological malignancies, its incidence and mortality are increasing globally; the incidence of EC in the United States is expected to double by 2030. Generally, EC is diagnosed at an early stage with favorable prognosis; in most cases, surgery represents the mainstay of treatment. However, about 20% of early-stage EC patients present poor outcomes due to the presence of several well-defined histologic risk factors. The rising tendency toward a more personalized diagnosis, surgical approach, adjuvant therapy and oncological surveillance, have suggested the need to develop new and molecular-integrated protocols to manage the endometrial cancer.

The aim of this Special Issue is to provide novel insight into the diagnosis and treatment of endometrial cancer.
