Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The global prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders has continued to increase over the past decade. There is a need to explore further the biological mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders in order to complement current advances in neurodevelopmental disorders screening and diagnosis, and to help accelerate the discovery of more effective treatments. This special issue is a collection of research and review articles that serve to update the known pathophysiological mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual disability, motor disorders (e.g., Tics, Tourette's and stereotypic disorders), amongst others. Research on translational drug discovery is also discussed in this issue, thus providing an update on innovative therapeutic approaches for the management and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders.
