Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue on ‘Brain-computer interactions and brain-inspired artificial intelligence’ is aimed at increasing our knowledge in the fields of human computer interaction, brain computer interface, and brain-inspired intelligent computing based on the latest research.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has boosted rapid developments in science, engineering, and society, while also being very useful in multidisciplinary areas. For example, the human computer interaction requires more and more intelligence. Moreover, novel computing theories must be developed in order to significantly decrease the energy consumption of current mainstream AI techniques like convolutional neural network (CNN). In this regard, brain-inspired intelligence model paradigms such as the spike neural network (SNN) is attracting increased attention.
We are particularly interested in studies performed across different countries to understand basic and applied research on AI using multidisciplinary methods. These can include neuroimaging, novel biological and statistical approaches, and especially new brain-inspired discoveries. Authors are invited to submit original research, reviews, as well as short communications that can significantly advance our understanding of intelligence from the brain, biomedical areas, human machine interaction, virtual reality scenarios, etc.
