Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Natural compounds such as phenolic compounds, pigments, polysaccharides, and proteins isolated from terrestrial or aquatic resources, possess various health benefits including antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-obesity, and anti-diabetes bioactivities. Base on these health benefits, bioactive natural products have been used in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmeceutical industries. This Special Issue presents studies on bioactive natural compounds from marine and terrestrial organisms including isolation, characterization, modification, and bioactivity evaluation.

As the Guest Editors for this Special Issue, we invite you to submit your research or review article on Frontiers in Bioscience-Landmark that cover the following topics:

-Isolation, characterization, and modification of natural compounds;

-New methods to prepare the bioactive compounds and their potential applications;

-Bioactivities and molecular mechanism studies of natural products.
