Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Various male reproduction-related research techniques have been developed from the time of Leeuwenhoek's observation of sperm in the past to the present. To study male reproduction, many researchers have been developed various conventional analysis methods such as Live/Dead analysis, motility analysis of sperm, capacitation status analysis, etc. Recently, molecular-level researches using genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, and bioinformatics have been actively conducted to identify various functions and mechanisms of sperm cells. In addition, various reproductive techniques, such as artificial insemination, micro-manipulation, and so on have recently been used in various biotechnology fields. Although variety of reproductive techniques have been developed and used in various fields, the application of new techniques and conversion of existing techniques are required to perform in-depth studies. In this Research Topic, we welcome reviews, original research articles, technical notes, and commentaries that are related to all fields (cell biology, cryobiology, reproductive toxicology, genomics, bioinformatics, proteomics, transcriptomics, and so on) studies of reproductive techniques in male (mammals).
