Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) are significant women's health issues that affect a large portion of the female population. The lifetime risk of POP is estimated to be 20% by the age of 80, while the prevalence rate of SUI can reach up to 40% in Western countries, affecting approximately half of all women at some point in their lives. In addition, overactive bladder with urgency urinary incontinence is also a major issue for women's health.

Given the importance of these conditions, this special issue invites articles that address the prevalence, therapy, and risk factors associated with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Contributions from researchers and clinicians in the field are welcomed, and high-quality manuscripts are sought to advance our understanding of these conditions. With this special issue, we hope to provide valuable insights and approaches for the prevention, management, prevalence and risk factors of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
