Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
In this Special Issue of CEOG, we invite you to contribute original research articles, reviews, short reports associated with the theme of “placenta previa”. Placenta previa is becoming more common due to the higher incidence of advanced aged pregnancy and assisted reproductive technology. Patients with placenta previa sometimes show massive postpartum hemorrhage requiring additional procedures including intrauterine balloon use, sutures, transarterial embolization, and hysterectomy. Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) is frequently complicated with placenta previa. PAS can induce catastrophic bleeding and should therefore be managed by a multidisciplinary team.
The goal of this special issue is to update knowledge of placenta previa outcomes, to introduce an ideal management strategy, and to describe rare complications. In addition, we also welcome novel diagnoses and insights into placenta previa. COVID-19 has spread around the world and hence original research articles and reviews of placenta previa associated with COVID-19 are also welcome for this issue.
