Overview

Revista de Neurología (RN) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge in the field of clinical neurology. RN covers all areas of clinical neurology, including the clinical diagnosis and management of neurological disorders, neurorehabilitation, the prevention and prognosis of neurological diseases, and neurological epidemiology.

Revista de Neurología (RN) es una revista revisada por expertos y de acceso abierto dedicada a la difusión del conocimiento en el campo de la neurología clínica. RN cubre todas las áreas de la neurología clínica, incluidos el diagnóstico clínico y el tratamiento de los trastornos neurológicos, la neurorrehabilitación, la prevención y el pronóstico de las enfermedades neurológicas, así como la epidemiología neurológica.

1973         Revista de Neurología released the inaugural issue.

1974         Revista de Neurología has started being indexed by Scopus.

1995         Revista de Neurología has started being indexed by PubMed (MEDLINE).

1997         Revista de Neurología has been indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE).

1999         Revista de Neurología received its first Impact Factor 0.265.

2024         Revista de Neurología (from Volume 79, Issue 11), published by IMR, has changed its open access publication model from the CC BY-NC-ND license to the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license.

Benefits of Open Access Publishing

The advent of online publication has greatly improved access to scientific content on a global scale. Therefore, starting from December 1, 2024, all publications of RN will be freely available online immediately after publication, without the need for a paid subscription. This aims to allow more scholars to benefit from research results, promote innovation, and bring new discoveries.

Under the open-access model of RN, the journal primarily covers publication costs through the use of Article Processing Charge. These costs include managing the editorial process, producing published versions, developing online features, and maintaining the quality of journal publications.
