Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Over the last several decades, emerging cardiovascular imaging techniques, such as cardiac magnetic resonance and cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA), have led to the improved diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This Special Issue aims to explore the ability of CCTA as a cutting-edge imaging modality to improve diagnosis and outcomes in patients with cardiac disorders. Special attention will be given to papers that investigate the ability to use CCTA and artificial intelligence for the diagnostic classification and risk stratification of patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease.

We hope to collect papers exploring the latest research findings and clinical applications of these imaging techniques. Furthermore, the Special Issue will address the challenges and limitations faced by cardiovascular imaging and propose potential solutions and discuss future diagnostic and therapeutic applications of cardiovascular imaging. These advancements will revolutionize cardiovascular care by providing more accurate and detailed information about myocardium and coronary circulation.

Overall, this Special Issue aims to provide readers with an overview of current CCTA applications, highlighting its significance in the diagnosis, management, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, while also exploring the potential of future developments in this rapidly evolving field.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
