Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Coronary heart disease remains the leading cause of mortality worldwide. The reduction in in-hospital mortality rates has led to the progressive increase of patients as candidates for secondary prevention treatment. Recent advances in lipid-lowering therapies, treatment for diabetes, and innovative antiplatelet regimens have demonstrated improvements in the prognosis of these patients. Nonetheless, there are many unmet needs for subgroups of patients or those who experience recurrent events, despite being adherent to guidelines recommendations. The special issue, “Focus on Secondary Cardiovascular Prevention”, has the objective of collecting high-quality original research papers and comprehensive reviews in this field.
