Special Issue Information

Dear Colleauges,

Cardiac electrophysiology and pacing are one of the most rapidly developing fields of cardiology. We are witnessing the advent of new energy modalities for ablation, novel physiologic options for pacing (conduction system pacing), and the opportunity to develop complete X-ray free EP labs. Also, some older ablation concepts are being revisited, like high power short duration radiofrequency ablation, and novel resizable cryoballoon devices. Furthermore, in structural VT ablation, there are new strategies for ablation planning (high-density CT imaging) and for energy delivery (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy). Considering these developments, this special issue, “Advances in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing” aims to collect high-quality original research papers and comprehensive reviews on the recent developments in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and pacing. The topics of interest include but are not limited to:

    1. Pulse field ablation for atrial fibrillation treatment
    2. Pulse field ablation for other cardiac substrates
    3. Conduction system pacing
    4. Zero fluoro ablation
    5. Hi power short duration RF ablation
    6. Resizable cryoballoon for AF ablation
    7. Imaging in ventricular tachycardia ablation
    8. SBRT therapy for VT in structural heart disease
    9. VT ablation in LVAD carriers
    10. Left atrial appendage occluders
    11. ICDs in the era of optimized, quadruple heart failure medical therapy
    12. Resynchronization therapy – CSP vs CRT
