Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Cardiac surgery is a rapidly evolving area of modern medicine. Over the last two decades there has been a significant reduction in the mortality of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Nevertheless, despite technological advances and the development of new techniques, there remains a high rate of serious postoperative complications. Published evidence suggests that the choice of the anesthetic technique might potentially improve the outcomes. This Special Issue “Cardiac Anesthesia” will collet high-quality original research papers and comprehensive reviews on recent advances in the anesthetic management of different types of cardiovascular procedures.
The topic of interests includes, but are not limited to:
- Cardiopulmonary bypass
- Myocardial injury
- Organ protection
- Arrhythmias
- Neurological complications
- Quality improvement
- Hemostasis
- Volatile versus total intravenous anesthesia
- Multimodal analgesia
