Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Oral cancers, particularly oral squamous cell carcinoma, represent a major global health challenge with persistently high morbidity and mortality rates despite advances in surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Increasing evidence highlights that tumor initiation, progression, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance are driven by complex molecular mechanisms involving genetic alterations, epigenetic regulation, non-coding RNAs, dysregulated signaling pathways, and the dynamic tumor microenvironment. Understanding these mechanisms is critical to developing novel diagnostic biomarkers, prognostic indicators, and targeted therapeutic strategies.

This special issue, Molecular Mechanisms in Oral Cancers, provides a platform for researchers and clinicians to share cutting-edge findings on the molecular underpinnings of oral cancers. We welcome original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that explore cancer genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, cell signaling, tumor–host interactions, immune regulation, and therapeutic innovations. By bringing together multidisciplinary insights, this issue seeks to advance translational research and ultimately improve patient outcomes through precision medicine approaches.
