We are honored to have an exclusive interview with Professor Eun Sook Hwang, given her key influence on the Editorial Board of the FBL Journal.
In this interview, Dr. Eun Sook Hwang noted that young scholars are at a critical stage of academic growth—facing both opportunities and challenges—and she wished to share advice that would be beneficial to their development.
The professor told us we usually spend a lot of time in class and commuting, but the time we can use for academic research is limited. Young people should cherish their time and devote more energy to academic research.
In terms of academic research, the professor emphasized: "Research should not be superficial; it requires deep and thorough investigation. Only by continuous in-depth exploration can we make breakthroughs in our research fields." She encouraged young scholars to cultivate the ability to think independently and delve deeply, not to give up easily when encountering problems, and to have the courage to challenge difficulties and pursue higher academic goals.
These suggestions from the professor are full of her earnest expectations for young scholars. We believe they can provide valuable guidance for young scholars on their academic path.
