Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The special issue on Infertility aims to provide original articles, as well as reviews, on the broad topic of Infertility, particularly as it affects older couples. Infertility affects 1 in 7 couples and the number of couples experiencing this problem is increasing. This is, in part, due to women delaying childbearing until they are older. Male age is also a factor in achieving pregnancy and has only recently been recognized as an important contributing issue. Infertility can be devastating for those experiencing it, both emotionally, physically and financially. Improvements in treatment options particularly in older women will mean that more couples are able to become parents.
