Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Surgery, despite the progress of pharmaceutical approach, remains the gold standard treatment for several gynecological pathologies, both benign and malignant. In the last decades, surgical techniques have been extremely evolved, with more and more women to be treated by minimally invasive surgical techniques, such as laparoscopic or robotic. Interestingly, several articles, original studies or reviews, have reported controversial results about different surgical approaches for the same pathology. Moreover, enhanced recovery protocols have been discussed and used by lots of departments worldwide in different pathologies with soe promising results.
In this Special Issue for CEOG entitled: “Gynecological Surgery” we would like to share articles about rare cases, original studies, systematic reviews or meta-analyses about benign and malignant gynecological pathology, encountered surgically either with open conventional laparotomy or minimally invasive surgery techniques, laparoscopic or robotic. This Special Issue will give the opportunity in scientists throughout the world to share their clinical practice and approach in rare cases, exhibit their innovative ideas and debate about the challenges that they encounter in their clinical practice. Moreover, reviews of the already published literature will enrich our knowledge about several gynecological pathologies and will trigger further future original prospective studies. Therefore, we invite you to submit your papers for publication to our Special Issue.
