Copy Editor (Biomedicine)
We are looking for an outstanding language editor in the field of Biomedicine to join our team and help enhance the quality and readability of our publications.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and polish academic papers in the biomedical field to enhance language clarity, grammatical accuracy, readability, stylistic consistency, fluency, formatting, and adherence to international journal standards.
- Review and adjust reference formats, tables, figures, and other academic conventions according to journal requirements to ensure compliance with submission guidelines.
- Maintain effective communication with authors and reviewers, answering questions related to language editing and ensuring an efficient editing process.
- Contribute to updating and maintaining the journal's language style guide, ensuring overall language quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in a biomedical-related field, with a solid biomedical background to understand and handle academic content in the field.
- Native English speakers are preferred.
- Proficient in English with strong writing and editing skills, capable of high-quality academic paper editing, detail-oriented.
- Familiar with international academic journal submission and editing standards, and knowledge of the Layout Manual of Style.
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration spirit, able to maintain good working relationships with authors, reviewers, and other editorial staff.
- Proficiency in MS Word (including Track Changes) and other relevant tools.
- Previous experience in language editing for biomedical journals or academic publications is preferred.
