Professor Isaac George Appointed as New Associate Editor of The Heart Surgery Forum

We are pleased to announce that Professor Isaac George has been appointed as Associate Editor of The Heart Surgery Forum (HSF, Print ISSN: 1098-3511 | Electronic ISSN: 1522-6662). His term started in October 2025.

Prof. Isaac George, currently serving as Professor of Surgery and Medicine at the Department of Surgery, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, and Co-Director of the Mitral & Tricuspid Center at Columbia University Medical Center. He also holds multiple positions within the New York Presbyterian Hospital system. He serves as Co-Director of the Structural Heart and Valve Center at Columbia, Surgical Director of Structural Heart Disease, and is a member of the NYP Structural Heart Executive Council. He directs both the Cardiac Surgery Research Laboratory and the Hybrid Coronary Program. Additionally, he is a Staff Surgeon at Stamford Hospital. He is a highly renowned cardiovascular surgeon.

He possesses extensive clinical expertise in the field of cardiovascular surgery, including adult cardiac surgery (valve, coronary bypass, and aortic aneurysm procedures), transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacement (TAVR, TMVR), transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve repair, hybrid cardiac surgery (combined valve/CABG and PCI), minimally invasive valve surgery, minimally invasive and robotic-assisted coronary bypass surgery, thoracic aortic endograft (TEVAR), and transcatheter valve implantation in mitral annular calcium (MAC).
