Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Takotsubo syndrome (TS), also known as stress-induced cardiomyopathy or “broken heart syndrome”, is a unique transient cardiac syndrome characterized by sudden and reversible left ventricular dysfunction, often triggered by emotional or physical stress. Despite growing recognition, the precise pathophysiology, optimal diagnostic criteria, and management strategies remain areas of ongoing research. This special issue, “Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy: From the Researcher’s Desk to the Patient’s Bedside”, aims to collect cutting-edge studies, comprehensive reviews, and clinical insights that enhance our understanding of TS, including its mechanisms, risk factors, diagnostic challenges, and treatment approaches. By bridging experimental research with clinical practice, this issue will provide clinicians and researchers with updated knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes for this interesting cardiovascular condition.
