Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The tremendous technological advances in cardiovascular imaging have allowed us to examine cardiac structures and functions that were not possible with previous techniques in hypertension. Although echocardiography remains the most important imaging modality, cardiac computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging have also become part of our daily routine. New echocardiographic techniques, such as three-dimensional and/or speckle tracking, have also become widely used. The aim of this special issue is to present the new findings that can be detected with these methods in the presence of hypertension.
