Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Conduction system pacing (CSP) and device-based therapies represent two new advances in the field of modern cardiac electrophysiology. Moving beyond conventional right ventricular pacing, these two emerging CSP techniques—His-bundle pacing (HBP) and left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP)—offer a more physiological approach to ventricular activation, with promising benefits for heart failure management, arrhythmia prevention, and long-term outcomes. In parallel, innovations in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), leadless systems, and defibrillator technologies are reshaping clinical practice, supported by advances in imaging, navigation, and artificial intelligence.
This Special Issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research, original studies, and expert reviews on CSP and device-based strategies, bridging the gap between technological innovation and real-world clinical practice. Topics include novel pacing algorithms, comparative effectiveness of CSP versus CRT, integration of AI-driven decision support, device safety and reliability, and long-term patient outcomes. This Special issue will review the roles of these multidisciplinary interventions, to define current standards, identify unmet needs, and set the stage for the next decade of progress and innovation in the field of cardiac pacing and device therapy.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
