Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to contribute to a special issue entitled "Applications of Cardiopulmonary-Exercise Testing in the Management of Heart Disease", which will explore the evolving role of cardiopulmonary-exercise testing (CPET) in the comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with heart disease.
CPET is increasingly recognized as an important tool not only for prognostic assessment but also for guiding clinical decision-making throughout heart-disease treatment. A fundamental aspect of patient evaluation is the assessment of heart function during exercise because functional status cannot be accurately determined through resting measurements alone. CPET provides essential insights into a patient’s physiological response to exertion, offering a more precise understanding of their cardiovascular and respiratory function.
Recent advances in CPET technology have highlighted its potential in evaluating the effectiveness of specific pharmacological treatments like those for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This special issue will bring together original research and review articles that expand our understanding of CPET clinical applications, from heart disease management to personalized therapeutic strategies.
We invite you to consider submitting your work and contributing to this important discussion. Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues who might be interested.
For further details or any questions, do not hesitate to contact us. We are looking forward to your valuable contribution!
