Dear Colleagues,
Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) remains a cornerstone therapy for patients with complex coronary artery disease. This Special Issue invites papers on current developments in CABG, including, but not limited to, the following sub-topics:
- Surgical techniques: minimally invasive CABG, on-pump and off-pump procedures, hybrid approaches
- Patient selection and risk stratification: elderly or high-risk populations, comorbidities, and prognosis
- Perioperative management: myocardial protection, anticoagulation, enhanced recovery protocols
- Postoperative care and outcomes: rehabilitation, management of complications, long-term follow-up
- Emerging innovations: graft materials, imaging guidance, and individualized treatment strategies
- Fact or fiction: Beneficial effects of Cardiac rehabilitation after coronary artery bypass surgery
- Historical perspective and evolution of Coronary artery bypass surgery
- Short and long-term outcomes after CABG
- Quality of life and prognosis after coronary artery bypass grafting
- Medical management versus Surgical management of significant coronary artery disease: Evidence from major clinical trials
Submissions addressing both mechanistic insights and clinical applications are welcome to advance both the science and practice of CABG.
