Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading global cause of mortality, underscoring the urgent need for preventive strategies beyond traditional therapies. The proposed special issue of Reviews in Cardiovascular Medicine focuses on Wearables, Mobile Health & AI-enabled Monitoring for Pediatric Cardiovascular Prevention. It highlights the transformative role of biosensors, mobile health platforms, and AI-driven analytics in enabling real-time monitoring, earlier detection of anomalies, and personalized interventions. By integrating smart devices with advanced algorithms, these technologies shift cardiology from reactive treatment to proactive prevention, offering predictive modeling and patient engagement outside of clinical settings. The issue will explore topics including sensor innovation, digital biomarkers, telecardiology integration, cloud-based data security, and ethical frameworks. Guest editors from leading institutions bring expertise in cardiovascular medicine, wireless networks, and AI/ML. This interdisciplinary initiative aims to foster collaboration across medicine, engineering, and informatics, advancing the next-generation ecosystems for pediatric cardiovascular risk assessment and prevention.
