Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a special issue dedicated to the AIM-SCI 2025 – Azores International Meeting on Spinal Cord Injury.
This issue will highlight the latest research presented at AIM-SCI 2025, by publishing all the accepted abstracts for the meeting. Moreover, submissions are encouraged from all participants of the meeting and may include original research articles, reviews, systematic reviews, short communications, editorials, opinions, and letters to the editor. This special issue will bring together contributions from basic science, translational studies, and clinical research aimed at understanding and improving outcomes in spinal cord injury (SCI).
While the special issue is based on AIM-SCI 2025, submissions from non-participants are also welcome, provided they focus on spinal cord injury. The scope includes (but is not limited to):
- Mechanisms of SCI and neural repair
- Neuroprotection and regeneration
- Inflammation and immune responses in SCI
- Rehabilitation and functional recovery
- Neurotechnologies and neuromodulation
- Translational and clinical studies
- Preclinical models and therapeutic development
