Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Infertility is a common problem that affects about 1 in 4 couples worldwide. Female infertility, defined as the inability to conceive naturally or to carry a pregnancy to full term, alone accounts for approximately one-third of all infertility cases. Female infertility can be due to different causes including the damage to fallopian tubes, reduced ovarian reserve, hormonal issues, advanced reproductive age, endometriosis, uterine malformations and defects in endometrial receptivity. Despite the great advances in diagnostics, pharmacology, minimally-invasive surgery and assisted reproduction technologies, female infertility still represent unsolved global health issues. There is urgent need to improve the global knowledge on female infertility as well as its clinical management.
In this Special Issue, we would like to move this field forward by inviting original clinical and basic research articles, meta-analyses and systematic reviews focusing on the diagnosis and management of female infertility.
We will be grateful to receive your submissions to move the field of female infertility forward.
