Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recently, the approach to vulvar cancer (VC) treatment has evolved from invasive surgery to more conservative approaches, using new surgical techniques with more tissue-sparing. VC accounts for 5% of all gynecologic cancers and the incidence of VC in young women is rising. The management of VC depends on disease stage, tumor size, histologic and cytologic grade. The psychological and aesthetic aspects are an integral part of the treatment of this tumor. Postoperative reconstruction, based on patients’ characteristics after demolitive surgery is an important step for personalized treatment. The aim of this Special Issue is to focus our attention on this tumor and on the various treatment modalities with consideration of the surgical approach along with consideration of the psychological and aesthetic acceptance of these women.
