BP is Recruiting Early-Career Editorial Board Members

Behavioral Psychology/Psicología Conductual (BP, ISSN: 0390-6663, https://www.imrpress.com/journal/BP) an international peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to advancing research in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology. The journal adopts a scientific perspective (usually behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, or biological) and emphasizes the promotion and development of health behaviors, as well as the counseling, treatment, and intervention of dysfunctional behaviors. Topics of interest include psychopathology in children, adolescents, and adults, the experimental analysis of human situations, interpersonal behavior, social relationships, behavioral medicine, and neuropsychology.

BP, founded in 1993, it was indexed by Scopus in 1996 and was included in the Web of Science in 2007, and the latest impact factor is 0.9. The current Editor-in-Chief is Prof. Vicente E. Caballo from University of Granada.

To enliven the academic atmosphere of the journal and promote the development of BP and of early career academicians, we have decided to recruit early-career editorial board members. We warmly welcome young teachers, doctors and other scholars in the field of psychology to join us and inject new vitality into BP. Together, we can advance academic exchanges and development in the field of psychology!

 I. Eligibility Criteria

  • Obtained PhD/MD degree within the last 10 years, with a major in psychology or related fields, and the research interests meet the journal's scope well.
  • Currently engaged in or interested in research related to psychology, holding a position in a university/hospital/research institute.
  • Published at least two articles as the first author or corresponding author in the journals indexed by Web of Science within the last three years.
  • Possess a passion for academia, a keen interest in psychology research, and the time and energy to actively participate in the journal's work.

III. Responsibilities of Early-Career Editorial Board Members

  • Manuscript Processing: Participate in manuscript pre-review, and peer review processes.
  • High-Quality Paper Invitation: Actively solicit high-quality manuscripts based on the journal's category and academic needs, especially those focusing on cutting-edge research and hot topics.
  • Journal Promotion: Promote the journal among peers and at academic conferences.
  • Hot Topic Recommendation and Scope Assessment: Provide recommendations for hot topics for paper invitations and assess the scope of the submissions.
  • Other Duties: Include, but are not limited to, offering suggestions for journal development, such as recommending outstanding scholars to join BP and participating in social media promotion based on the academic strength of early-career editorial board members.
