Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Major depressive disorders are common conditions that significantly contribute to the global health burden by increasing disability in patients. Many individuals with major depression do not respond to current treatment regimens. This is largely due to the heterogeneity of major depression and the limited efficacy of available treatments.
Refinement of diagnostic precision within major depression can help improve our understanding of aetiological mechanisms of this condition. Advancing our knowledge of these mechanisms is essential to the development of more effective treatments.
This special topic encourages the submission of research papers that enhance the accuracy of symptoms detection in major depressive disorders. We welcome the submissions of studies promoting the development of novel approaches leading to better treatment outcomes in major depression and strategies to address treatmet resistance.
