Call for Early-Career Editorial Board Members of Alpha Psychiatry (AP)
Alpha Psychiatry (AP, ISSN: 2757-8038, https://www.imrpress.com/journal/AP) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research in psychiatry. Our mission is to publish studies of scientific and clinical value and encourage the submission of high-quality research that advances the understanding and treatment of psychiatry.
Alpha Psychiatry (AP), originally founded as the Anatolian Journal of Psychiatry in 2000 (Print ISSN: 1302-6631), adopted its current title in 2021 (Electronic ISSN: 2757-8038). Since then, AP has been indexed in PubMed and SCIE, with a current impact factor of 1.3. Under the leadership of Editors-in-Chief Francesco Bartoli (University of Milano Bicocca) and Wei Zheng (Affiliated Brain Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University), AP has become a leading platform for global scholars to share groundbreaking discoveries in the field of mental health.
To foster academic innovation and empower early-career researchers, we are now recruiting Early-Career Editorial Board Members for AP. We warmly invite young psychiatrists, psychologists, and neuroscientists worldwide to join us in shaping the future of mental health research!
I. Eligibility Criteria
- Hold an MD/PhD degree obtained within the past 10 years, with expertise in psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, or related fields.
- Currently engaged in mental health research at a university, hospital, or research institution.
- Published ≥3 first/corresponding-author papers in Web of Science-indexed journals within the last 3 years.
- Demonstrate strong academic passion, interdisciplinary vision, and commitment to journal development.

III. Responsibilities
- Manuscript Processing: Conduct timely and rigorous manuscript evaluations.
- High-Quality Paper Invitation: Actively solicit high-quality manuscripts based on the journal's category and academic needs, especially those focusing on cutting-edge research and hot topics.
- Journal Promotion: Promote AP at conferences and through academic networks.
- Hot Topic Recommendation and Scope Assessment: Recommend high-impact studies and identify trending research directions.
- Other Duties: Include, but are not limited to, offering suggestions for journal development, such as recommending outstanding scholars to join AP and participating in social media promotion based on the academic strength of early-career editorial board members.
