Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
This Special Issue of the International Journal of Pharmacology aims to showcase significant scientific advances in the field of natural bioactive molecules, with a specific focus on their pharmacological relevance, mechanisms of action, and therapeutic potential.
We invite submissions of original research articles that explore bioactive compounds derived from natural sources, including plants, fungi, marine organisms, and microorganisms. A key requirement is that studies on extraction, isolation, and chemical characterization must be directly linked to demonstrable pharmacological outcomes.
Priority will be accorded to research providing strong mechanistic insights. We particularly encourage studies involving:
Investigation of molecular interactions, signaling pathway modulation, and target engagement.
Comprehensive pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic analyses.
Demonstration of efficacy is validated in vitro or in vivo disease models.
Furthermore, submissions employing innovative approaches are highly welcome. These include, but are not limited to, advanced encapsulation strategies, natural drug delivery systems, biotechnological optimization, and computational pharmacology (e.g., molecular docking, dynamics, and predictive modeling), especially when these approaches substantiate the therapeutic applicability of the compounds studied.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. There is an Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. For details about the APC please see here. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
