Diagnosis and treatment of preinvasive and micro invasive cervicocarcinoma
The mortality rate of cervicocarcinoma has significantly decreased over the last few years, thanks to early diagnosis. Prophylactic and therapeutical interventions, at different stages, are therefore necessary to eliminate or, at least, decrease the incidence of this pathology. Between 1975 and 1980, during a cytologic depistage carried out at the Institute of Gynecologic and Obstretic Clinic of Padua University, we examined 72 cases of patients who had undergone the following diagnostic iter: colposcopy, cytology，direct biopsy and conization. Various parameters were analyzed, notably with regard to cases of serious dysplasia, carcinoma in situ, neoplasia with beginning invasion of the glandular necks and microinvasive forms.
