Dear Colleagues,
Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) affects 20 million people worldwide. Awareness of PAD and its harmful effects is increasing, however, the incidence and prevalence of this disease is rapidly rising and presents new challenges in its treatment.
The Special Issue "Peripheral Arterial Disease" will present high-quality original research papers and comprehensive reviews on recent advances in peripheral vascular disease. The topics of interest include but is not limited to:
● Demographics and epidemiology of PAD
● The role of diabetes in PAD
● Disparities in awareness, diagnosis, and treatment
● Diagnosis and diagnostic tests and screening
● Imaging issues in PAD
● Clinical manifestations of PAD including asymptomatic, claudication, and chronic limb- threatening ischemia
● Medical management of PAD
● Endovascular, hybrid, and surgical management of PAD
● Long-term management, follow-up, and surveillance
