Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to announce this special issue on “Sports, exercise and physical activities during the COVID-19 pandemic,” to be featured in the Journal of Men’s Health.

Regular physical activity, such as participation in sports, can help prevent many types of chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and osteoporosis. It can also improve psychological health by reducing anxiety, stress and depression. Encouraging participation in sports is therefore one of the most effective ways to increase physical activity. This is especially so during the COVID-19 pandemic when sports, exercise and physical activity are expected to be poor and to thus adversely affect the health of men and women.

The purpose of this special issue is to examine the effectiveness of participation in various sports, exercise and physical activities on men’s health during the COVID-19 pandemic. We welcome contributions that describe and enumerate the sports, exercise and physical activities that promote men's health. Your contribution is welcome in form of original articles, commentary and review.
