Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Recently, artificial intelligence (machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, etc.) has been used successfully in a variety of fields and reached a promising performance. Thus, it has the potential to be applied in medicine to create an electronic brain that is capable of converting information from the vast data sources into possible medical outcomes. Such models have been continuously studied and improved, along with the expansion and completeness of databases or resources to support clinical decisions. Based on this idea, the current special issue opens a place for studies on AI applications in medicine, especially in central nervous system (CNS) diseases (e.g., Alzheimer, Parkinson, gliomas, etc.). All related studies that aim to implement computer-assisted diagnosis or decision support systems for CNS are welcome. The potential topics include:

  • Machine learning and deep learning applied to CNS diseases
  • Natural language processing extracted text information from CNS data
  • Radiomics, radiogenomics applied to cancer-related CNS diseases
  • Bioinformatics and genomics analysis on CNS diseases
  • AI or Bioinformatics to understand the molecular functions of CNS diseases
