Professor Gernot Riedel is Appointed as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Integrative Neuroscience

We are pleased to announce that Professor Gernot Riedel has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Integrative NeuroscienceJIN (ISSN: 0219-6352). His term started in August 2022.

Professor Gernot Riedel works in University of Aberdeen, UK, he leads and directs research in the field of psychopharmacology and cognitive neuroscience. His translational work is mainly targeted towards a richer understanding of the mechanisms of cognitive function and malfunction of the neural system. With over 30 years of experience, the group focusses on:

  • development of novel neurobehavioural paradigms related to memory function, motor coordination and psychophysics of sensory systems;
  • improvement of experimental memory models (genetic, pharmacological) in neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders and therapeutic interventions;
  • correlation of abnormalities in memory with brain cell dysfunction, plasticity and morphology.

Professor Riedel is serving on multiple editorial boards and has more than 15 years of editorial expertise.
