Abstract

Indirect immunoperoxidase with antichlamydia serum has been applied to 34 Pap-smears where cytologic diagnosis of Chlamydia infection was suspected. Only 4 cases were confirmed by this technique. The limited success could be due to the need for a more active antiserum or to an overestimation of Pap-smear images. Cytologic diganostic features are critically outlined.
