Abstract

Contribution to the study over the interactions between drugs and oral contraceptives, Many recent works have shown interactions between oral steroid contraceptives and other drugs; Authors have noticed, in 9 women “on the pill”, menstrual disorders (spotting, bleed-ing), symptoms of hormonal deficiency, and in two of them even a pregnancy, after administra-tion of oral antibiotics. The contraceptive failure ough to be correlated to alteration of gut bacteria determined by antibiotics, which interfere with enterohepatic circulation on and and absorption ion of contraceptive steroids.
