Abstract

Circulating levels of pregnancy-specific beta-I glycoprotein were measured serially by radial fmmunodiffusion during the third trimester of pregnancy. In patients with poor intrauterine foetal growth the S. P. - 1 levels were generally below the 10th centile. This finding suggests that the measurement of S. P. - 1 appears to provide a good additional biochemical evidence of placental function.
