Abstract
Pituitary prolactin secreting adenoma and pregnancy: case report. A case of pregnancy in a woman with a pitui-cary prolactin secreting adenoma with a previous intrauterine fetal death is described. During the first pregnancy, the patient was treated with 2-a.-bromoergokriptine (CB 154) with intrauterine fetal death at the 6th month of pregn3ncy Both, the first and second pregnancy, were induced by CB 154, stopping this therapy as soon as the patient was pregnant. The second pregnancy was complicated by a severe placental insufficiency, probably due to ergotamine administered for persistant headaches. A neonate, weighted 2,180 grams, was deli-vered by caesarean section at the 37th week of gestation.
