Abstract

Actual problems on feeding in pregnancy. Nutritional state of a woman previous to and during pregnancy plays an important role in her health and in that of the fetus. Adequate caloric intake and increased amounts of individual nutrients are to be supplied as outlined in recommendations of Nutrition Boards. With a diet adequate for all fot the essential nutrients obesity, malnutrition, anemia can be avoided. Special diets may useful for the treatment of some diseases during pregnancy (diabetes, preeclampsia, cardiac insufficiency).
